An elegant, sculptural tray \/ centrepiece crafted from cast aluminium by the renowned NP2 Group (founded by Nerone Ceccarelli and Giancarlo Patuzzi), an icon of 20th-century Italian avant-garde design and sculpture. The shaped aluminium surface features a dynamic, jagged profile reminiscent of a topographical landscape, with folds, peaks and troughs that create fascinating plays of light and shadow. \nThe NP2 Group was an innovative, interdisciplinary artistic collective founded in Turin in 1962 by Nerone Ceccarelli (born Giovanni Ceccarelli, 1937\u20131996) and Giancarlo Patuzzi. The acronym \u2018NP2\u2019 derives from the initials of the two founding members (\u2018N\u2019 for Nerone, \u2018P\u2019 for Patuzzi and \u20182\u2019 to signify their partnership). Shortly afterwards, Piercarlo Ceccarelli also joined the group. Emerging at the height of a period of industrial and cultural ferment, the NP2 Group distinguished itself through its determination to break down the barriers between art, architecture and craftsmanship of the highest calibre.
